About the Loan Management Assistant role
The Loan Management Assistant is responsible for effectively managing multiple client cases throughout the case life cycle while ensuring excellent customer service is delivered throughout. The role also requires debt recovery to be achieved in a timely manner and a key aspect of this position is to develop strong relationships with Solicitors / Partners and Clients to ensure cases are effectively resolved. Advising clients and Solicitors of their obligations to us in terms of credit agreement/global terms is also vital.
Each loan on the family book will be assigned to a member of the team to manage from initial acceptance to full repayment, tracking different drawdown requests and progress of the case we have lent against.
Key responsibilities as our Loan Management Assistant.
- Chasing borrowers and solicitors for case updates for all loans.
- Ensuring all parties are complying with the terms of their agreements.
- Diarise key court/trial dates to promptly return to client and solicitor for outcome.
- Record and log all calls/letters sent
- Record all case statuses for all clients on the lending system.
- Understand consumer credit act default and termination procedure.
- Weekly update with company solicitor for terminated cases.
- Liaising with our solicitors on debt recover cases.
- Confidently answer phones and taking messages as part of the team.
- Assist running the loan book for consumer credit lending to have a full understanding at any point on the total debt situation for your clients.
- Keeping fully up to speed with all our loans to minimise bad debt.
Skills and experience required of our Loan Management Assistant.
- Ideally strong administration background with the ability demonstrate high degree of efficiency with logging/chasing/updating.
- experience in dealing over the phone with clients who are trying to avoid payment.
- Ability to communicate over the phone with a vast range of people.
- Strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
- Team player
- IT literate to use Excel, Word and our bespoke platform and up-date clients notes on a daily basis.
- GSCE or equivalent qualification in Maths and English at grade C or above.
- Previous experience of customer service experience and exposure.
- Exposure to the legal industry
- Financial services industry
- experience of consumer credit
