£25,740.00 Gross per annum. Exciting new opportunity for a sporty SEN Buddy in Italy, supporting an active 23 year old on the autistic spectrum.

Essential: Autism / Working with a client of similar age / behavioral needs
Desired: skiing / snowboarding an advantage
Start Date: September 2022; a minimum of one year’s commitment
Days and Hours: Contract 6 days per week, based on a 45 hour week, but usually 5 day week
Accommodation: High quality, single room in shared staff flat in Italy or accommodation in London for non-London based applicants.
Dan is an energetic and engaging young man who enjoys outdoor activities and sports – especially swimming, bike riding and skiing. Dan is autistic and non-verbal; he communicates by using PECs. ABA methods are also used and are key to his learning and understanding of different tasks.
Dan’s routine is based around gardening, cooking, animal care and a prominent level of sports activities. You will accompany Dan on short breaks within Europe and trips back to London. Dan has two other team members; he has 24 hour care on a 1:1 basis within the home and 2:1 when out in the community.
This job will suit someone very sporty and adventurous, independent and self-sufficient, with a genuine interest in supporting/promoting Dan’s independent living skills. Dan is a confident skier and a support worker who can keep up on the slopes would be advantageous to him and the family.
