Live out part-time nanny Willesden Green/ Queens Park NW6
Mature nanny needed for lovely family with two boys aged 10 and 7.  We ideally want someone to join our family for a long time!
We urgently need a mature, hard-working, organised, tidy, experienced, enthusiastic, energetic, warm and fun-loving nanny to join our family – hopefully for many happy years.  28 hours per week. 11 pounds per hour net. At least 35 days of paid holiday (of our choosing, often more than 40, and agreed 3 + months in advance) per annum.
Typically it would be 1:30 or 2:30 -7:30 pm from Monday to Friday, with additional babysitting on request/ by arrangement as agreed on top and some longer days needed during school holidays.
You do not need to be Ofsted registered but we require a serious career nanny who has at least 8 years of experience with children of similar ages, with fantastic references we can follow up. Most, if not all of that experience will have been in the UK, and you will hold qualifications in paediatric first aid and will have CACHE level 3 or equivalent. We are looking for someone fluent or native in English. Driving licence not necessary.
Duties will include all aspects of caring for our boys aged 10 and 7:
- Arriving at our house at 1:30/2:30 to begin to prepare the evening meal;
- Leaving the house at around 3 pm or 4 pm to pick the boys up from school (3:30 pm or 4:30 pm) by tube from St John's Wood - and escorting to after-school clubs/activities e.g. Tennis, cricket, chess; organising play dates;
- Preparing the boys' delicious and healthy supper;
- Tidying the boys' rooms and their play room, putting away clothes, changing sheets once a week/ as necessary etc;
- Supervising homework and music practice;
- Organising their diaries and booking activities; liaising with us;
- Playing with the boys - building train tracks, marble runs and towers; painting and crafting; cooking and baking; kicking a football; going to the park;
- Supervising bath time and cleaning teeth in the evening;
- Reading Charles a bedtime story or three and getting the boys to bed on time;
- Organising play dates, parties and pizza/movie nights for the boys at home;
- Stacking, emptying dishwasher and tidying up and wiping down at the end of meal times and at the end of the day (although we have a cleaner for housecleaning)
- Kids' laundry and ironing;
- Taking in the Ocado delivery and putting all the food away; shopping lists;
- Taking the initiative in packing and emptying book bags/gym bags of homework and messages from school, checking info (e.g. Dressing up days, charity days, packed lunches for school trips) and organising us;
- Sticking artwork into the scrap book every so often;
- Communicating effectively with us through use of the desk diary, phone, notebook, or by email;
- Having fun, being positive, fitting in well, getting Stuck in as a fixture in our family by networking with local mums and nannies; and.
- Accompanying the boys to dental check-ups; checking immunisations are up to date; accompanying them to General Practitioner for minor issues.
