A BIT ABOUT OUR FAMILY
We are a friendly Canadian family looking for someone to keep an eye on our two children and keep things ticking at home. Our children are a 10 year old girl and 7 year old boy who attend a local private school and we are busy parents who work full-time. We live in Queens Park, a safe and easily accessible neighbourhood, around the corner from Queens Park tube (or a short walk from Brondesbury Park overground).
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for live-out nanny who:
* has prior childcare experience, preferably with children in this age range
* is punctual, sensitive, patient / cool headed, kind and extremely responsible
* is a decent cook
* able to clean house to a good standard (and not afraid to clean bathrooms!) and run errands when the children are in school
* does not smoke
* speaks very good English
* drops off/collects children to and from school and after school clubs
* ensures children does their homework (some help may be needed)
* can drive, though this is not essential (we will provide car and all related expenses)
HOURS AND PAY:
We are fair employers, so we will pay tax on your income and will provide you with official contract and pay slips – this is required by law and very helpful when you are looking to rent, apply for citizenship, and ultimately move on to another employer.
We are willing to consider candidates interested in full OR part time work. Full time hours would be 7:30 to 18:30 Monday through Friday, but you would only need to work for 8 hrs during this time (the other 3 hours are yours to do whatever you wish, and you are welcome to stay in our home). Part time hours would be from 13:00 (specific start time negotiable) to 18:30 Monday through Friday. We offer paid holiday.
Pay is £10-12 per hour gross, which will be £8.38-9.75 per hour net (i.e. Your take home after your national insurance and income tax are paid to HMRC), depending on experience and qualifications.
