A young, creative family located in leafy North London are looking for a calm, intelligent, experienced Daily Housekeeper who would be confident carrying outallhousekeeping duties to a high standard in sizeable Family Home in addition to light family cooking and some basic administrative household duties.
We are looking for someone who has had a minimum of 5-years’ housekeeping experience, within a 4/5* Hotel or Private Household, who has a flexible attitude and is able to work autonomously and manage their own responsibilities and work load. This role is best suited to someone who is able to manage various administrative duties on top of the daily housekeeping routine – someone looking to advance their career to overall household management.
With Principals working in the music industry and a new baby on the way, the right candidate needs to be discreet, quiet and confident in their abilities, able to work autonomously and happy to adjust to the arrival of a new-born and the flexibility required.
Location:         North London (N22)
Hours:              Basic hours – Monday to Friday 08 h00 – 18 h00
Salary:             doe – c £40,000 per annum.

Responsibilities:
Cooking:

Happy to oversee preparation of breakfast, lunch and other meals dinner for 2-3 people.
Occasional dinner parties

Complete 360°care of the household including dusting, mopping, polishing and hoovering.
Care of external spaces including washing steps, polishing exterior brass, watering plants.
Laundry, linen care and ironing
Regular cleaning of heavy drapery and soft furnishings.
Regular deep cleaning of the property including kitchen cupboards, bedroom wardrobes etc.
Kitchen and bathroom detailing, defrosting and cleaning of fridge / freezer.
Food shopping
Regular stock takes of domestic cleaning products and other sundries – replenishing when required.
Regular walk throughs of property and replacing anything broken (eg light bulbs) liaising with Principals when more extensive maintenance / reparations need to be done.
Making sure all areas of the home are clean, neat and tidy at all times.

Household Assistant:

Assisting PA with looking after the Principals personal needs.
Running errands including dry cleaners and personal shopping.
Liaising with contractors and booking call outs (eg carpet cleaning, window cleaners, alarm / TV repairs, plumbers etc)
Meeting and greeting guests
Booking couriers
Maintenance of wardrobe
Packing and Unpacking of suitcases
Tidying personal effects
Basic household book-keeping

Paying household bills

Required skills

Must have at least 5 years’ experience working in a 4/5* Hotel or formal household environment.
Must be comfortable working with fine fabrics.
A degree of flexibility with hours and a friendly, hard-working and can-do attitude.
Happy to work around small babies
A driver would be advantageous but not essential.
Exceptional attention to detail
