Live-out housekeeper/cook for a family in Twickenham
Friendly and lovely family of 4 is now looking to employ a full time live-out housekeeper/cook. They have 2 children who are 18 and 14 who both suffer from ME or chronic fatigue syndrome, both at home with the youngest one being home-schooled. The mum is also affected therefore not able to help with any domestic duties, however she is the main carer of the children. When the mum is out of the house you just need to assist with their medication (prepared and scheduled by mum) and meals prep. Your responsibilities will focus on all housekeeping with duties including general cleaning of the house, tidying up, changing beds, all laundry and ironing, family cooking and general help around the house. In terms of cooking there are dietary requirements and allergies you need to be aware of but mainly cooking from scratch following simple recipes. Other duties will include some errands, unpack food deliveries, light shopping, answer the door, and other ad-hoc domestic duties. They have 2 dogs but they have a dog walker, and 2 guinea pig who's cage needs to be cleaned. They are very organised, especially the mum in terms of all medication and lifestyle they need to adopt due to their condition. Ideal candidate would have a discreet and empathic personality, work quietly, be fit and energetic as well as happy to follow instructions and accommodate family needs. Good attention to details is important and good organisation skills. It is important to have a minimum 4 years experience in similar roles and checkable references.
Location: Twickenham
Days and hours: Mon/Wed/Fri from 11am - 7pm, and Tue/Thu from 9.30am to 6.30pm
Salary: 11 net/hour
Start: Mid January or possible earlier for the right candidate.
