This is a fabulous job for an Executive Head Housekeeper to work in a beautiful home in Belgravia. You would be working for a family who have three older teenage children so there is no childcare with this role.
The house is fully staffed with a Butler, Chauffeur, Private Chef etc. And you will be looking after a team of 5 housekeepers. The housekeeping team are already established in the household and work well together. This is a formal household.
Your role will include making sure that the house is clean and well presented at all time - to 6* hotel standards. You will also make sure that the laundry and ironing, including the care of fine clothing, is done to top levels, that flowers are in the reception rooms, work with the Butler to ensure that the house is ready for guests, organising work rotas for the housekeepers, etc. You personally will also be carrying out the inventory of the clothing for the lady of the house, her wardrobe management on a daily basis, packing and unpacking of suitcases. Although this is a supervisory role you must be prepared to be 'hands on' and help with any housekeeping tasks that need carried out in the household when needed. You will need to have a presence in the household, making sure that you do relevant training with your team of housekeepers and be seen to lead by example - this is not a job for someone who wants to sit an office all day!
It is essential that you have worked as a Head Housekeeper in a similar role in a high level household and understand what working in this environment means. You will need to speak excellent English, have good communication skills, able to lead by example, have excellent housekeeping experience yourself, and able to arrange your day and the housekeeping team.
This is a live out job, and as the family have a weekend home outside of Central London you will only need to work Monday to Friday. Your core hours will be 9/10am start and 6/6.30 finish - with some flexibility needed if the family are busy or entertaining. Salary is negotiable but will be in the region of £40,000 - £45,000 gross per annum
