We are looking for a kind, cheerful and reliable part-time carer to support us to live independently in our home in Islington. This is a live out position. Ideally, you would live locally or not more than a short travelling distance away.
We are a married couple respectively in our early 80s and early 90s. One of us (wife) is partially (physically) disabled after a stroke, and needs help with washing, dressing and using stair lifts. The other (husband) needs support with minor domestic tasks, but is otherwise independent. We may also ask you to do some light shopping at local shops. We are both retired, but have a wide range of interests and friends.
Previous relevant experience would be very helpful; flexibility, initiative and willingness to learn are crucial.
We own an affectionate cat and the house is non-smoking. We have currently have a carer for the same hours 6 days a week, but now need help on Sundays as well.
We therefore need these hours: Sundays only: 11am to 1pm
The hours may increase over time and/or there may be opportunities for additional hours.
Pay: £12 per hour
References and DBS check essential. Preferably immediate start.
