Looking for a live-in or live out nanny/housekeeper/mother’s help to look after a happy and curious 4 year old girl in Kensal Rise/Queens Park.
We are a happy and loving 3-person family with a wonderfully happy, curious and energetic 4 year old girl who will be starting school in September. Mother works full time including travel abroad to Europe several times a month, father works from home. We live in the family-orientated neighbourhood of Kensal Rise, bordering Queens Park and enjoy getting out of London as and when we can. Sadly our lovely nanny is off to au pair in America in September, so we are looking for someone new to join our family and take fantastic care of our daughter.
HOURS:
Term time:
Mornings: Monday to Friday, 7:15am – 8:15am
Afternoons: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 3 :30 – 7pm. Wednesday 12pm – 7pm from Sep – Oct ’17, then 3:30pm from November onwards.
You will be required to carry out all duties during the day before school pick up and/or while with our daughter.
Babysitting: 2 nights babysitting per week
Non term time:
Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 7pm
2 nights babysitting per week / 6 nights per month
Duties include:
Child’s Care:
- Carry out daily care and activities which include: organising and taking part if local activities and groups / holiday clubs, organise play dates, day trips, school drop off and pick ups when required.
- Support and encourage the child’s development stages.
- Promotion of the child’s physical fitness and development to ensure exercise, outdoor play, gross motor skills.
- Art and craft sessions.
- The stimulation of the child in play to ensure good development including reading, singing, writing and drawing.
- Overall well being of the child in a safe environment indoor and outdoor, including booking and assisting taking child to any medical/health appointments as necessary.
- Carry out nursery duties, which include keeping child’s bedroom, clothes, bedding and Toys organised and tidy. School uniform and other clothing ironed.
- Cooking meals, broadening the menu to include new tastes, supporting the weekly shop and weekly menu planning.
- Supporting the development of good manners and politeness.
Work with the parents to maintain good health of the child, managing medications, medical appointments and general health and wellbeing.
Nutrition: Good nutrition and a healthy and varied diet are very important to our family, and you will be required to cook fresh healthy meals. Up to 3x per week these will be family-sized meals
HOUSEHOLD DUTIES: all cleaning, ironing, etc
ABOUT YOU:
- You will have a natural love of children and find the world of small children wonderfully exciting and fun
- You will be naturally neat and tidy
- You will be proficient in English
- Driver’s license is not required
- You will be a good cook with a clear understanding of food hygiene
- You will be a non smoker
- You will have experience looking after similar aged children
- You will be DBS checked with an up to date first aid certificate
You will get: Your own bedroom and en suite on the top floor with TV and large wardrobe area, wifi throughout, and NETFLIX access. 4 weeks holiday per year, excl bank holidays (total 28 days), and any work-related travel reimbursed.
SALARY: £330 p/w during term time and £380 p/w during non term time, dependant on hours and experience and whether live in or live out.
START DATE: 4th September 2022 but can be flexible and do later in September. Latest start date we could accommodate is 25th September.
