Live in Nanny for our Month old son in Tufnell Park

Posted: 11-09-2021
Place: Holloway, London

We are looking for a warm and enthusiastic live-in nanny to look after our happy, healthy, and easy-going 22 month old son.
We live in Tufnell Park (Zone.
2) And are well placed for the Northern Line (Tufnell Park - less than 10 Mins walk ) and Piccadilly Line (Caledonian Road - 15 min walk) as well as the Overground (Kentish Town - 15 Mins walk and Upper Holloway - 10 Mins walk).
The area is very chid-friendly with lots of parks, cafes, restaurants, child play groups and soft play centres nearby. We are 15-20 Mins walk from Hampstead Heath.
Hours would be 8:00am to 6:30pm, 5 days a week, Mon to Fri. We would also like the nanny to be available to babysit every so often (possibly 2-3 times a month and only very rarely on Fridays or weekends).
The role would involve sole-care child care of our son, including cooking him nutritious meals. It would also require some very light housekeeping duties (e.g. Keeping the nursery tidy, emptying the dishwasher when needed, and doing our son's laundry). However, we have a cleaning lady who comes for a full day once a week (and twice a week every fourth week), so cleaning/tidying duties would be minimal. The main focus would be looking after our son.
He is friendly and sociable, and loves art and musical activities with other children. He has made lots of friends locally and we are keen he continues to see them as well as make new ones.
We are offering newly refurbished accommodation on the top floor of our comfortable five-bedroom house, with views of north-east London. The room comes with a double bed, an en-suite shower room with loo and sink, and its own landing. Both the bedroom and bathroom are light and spacious and the room comes with a TV, kettle, small fridge, phone (for local calls), and fast WiFi.
All meals and household bills would be provided.
We are happy to add the nanny to our car insurance if they are able - and would like - to drive our son to local play dates and activities.
We will provide a nanny Kitty and pre-paid visa card for day to day expenses for our son.
We are looking for an experienced and professional nanny with:
- at least 2 years experience caring for young children
- a current DBS check
- a paediatric first aid certificate
- an excellent standard of spoken English.
My husband and I both had nannies growing up, many of whom we are still in touch with. We and understand how much a nanny can offer a child and really value the support they can offer a young family.
