Our friendly, welcoming family is looking for a live-in nanny to look after our three super girls – a five-year old and twins aged two. The five-year old attends a local school, the twins are at home full time currently but will start nursery two-mornings a week from September. (Both parents work full time.) Chiswick is a great area to be a nanny – there are lots of playgroups and toddler activities with a good community of nannies and parents to meet up with.
This role would suit someone who is confident, loving, hands-on and unflappable with a real interest and understanding of how children learn and develop. In particular our five-year-old needs someone who understands the importance of doing well at school but who can keep homework and learning fun. The twins need lots of creative play and playdates so that they can continue to do well.
Hours are approximately 7.30am-7.30pm, Mon-Fri + 1 night's babysitting/week. Unofficially, most days dad helps with breakfast and mum gets home before 7pm. We need someone who will Muck-in with the usual nanny chores and can cook well for the children.
In return we offer an en-suite room, a gross salary of up to £22,300 / year (approximately £350/week net), +1% employers pension contribution, 20 days holiday and some flexibility to take unpaid leave if we can make it fit with school holidays.
The role starts mid-May but not before (when our current wonderful nanny needs to head home).
As parents we can appreciate how challenging a nanny role is. Consequently we are looking for someone with either previous experience of either nannying or teaching primary school age children or a nanny/education qualification.
