Live in nanny wanted in Herne Hill, London, to care for 2 girls: a 9 month old baby and 5 year old.
September 2022 start.
£305 gross pw.
Accommodation is a double bedroom and own bathroom on a separate floor of a 3-Storey Victorian house with garden.
The role is for sole charge of a 9 month old baby, so infant experience is required. The 5 year old will be attending school, so the role will include school drop off and pick up and after school care, plus sole charge out of term time.
Working hours are 7:30am to 7:30pm, Monday to Friday, plus 1 or 2 evenings babysitting per week.
Responsibilities will include:
* Morning routine
*Meal and snack preparation
*Managing diary (school, clubs, playdates)
*prepare bottles/equipment for feeding
*changing nappies / dirty clothes
*assist with bath time when required
*Attend baby appropriate activities
*Assist with light housework, such as packing / unpacking dishwasher, keeping play areas tidy, laundry, cleaning and washing up after children's meals
*Liaising with other nannies and parents to arrange play dates
* undertake appropriate creative and developmental activities
* undertake appropriate outdoor activities
* running ad hoc errands
The ideal candidate will:
*be a non-smoker,
*have fluent English,
*be Ofsted registered,
*have a paediatric first aid qualification,
*have at least 2 checkable references,
*have baby/infant experience
*enjoy cooking and crafts
A clear CRB/DBS check is required.
We live in Herne Hill, south-east London, which is very close to central London and has great transport links. It is less than 10 minutes by train to Victoria station, and is a short bus ride from Brixton underground station. Herne Hill is a lovely place with a village feel; offering independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. There are lots of parks, playgrounds and open spaces nearby, including Brockwell Park, which has a Lido, gym, children's playground, tennis courts etc. There are many children's activities/classes in the local area, most within walking distance of the house. It is a popular area with young families, so there is a good nanny network with opportunities to socialise and organise playdates.
