Live-In Nanny Highgate/Archway/Crouch End.
What we are looking for:
An engaging live-in nanny to have sole care of both our children on their scheduled days, starting Mid May 2022.
About Us: We are a British (Dad) and American (Mum) family with 2 girls aged 3.5 and 1 year. We live in North London, between Archway and Highgate Tube, and very close to the trendy village of Crouch End at N19 3BQ. We are a fun, relaxed but busy family with a lot of energy. We enjoy family outings, showing the girls new things and spending time as a family. Both of us work full time jobs, Monday- Friday with pretty normal hours. We both come from engaging, family-orientated families who play a key role in the girl’s lives - although one family lives in Miami, Florida and the other in Manchester. During the week we stick to a schedule around activities, meals and bedtime. Mum and Dad are home most weekday evenings and enjoy bath and bedtime. We do have at least one night out during the week though. Weekends are less schedule orientated and geared around fun and relaxation. We have a 4 bedroom house with no pets. You will have a private room with en-suite bathroom and shower, TV and sitting area in the Loft of our house.
Hours: General hours for sole charge will be Monday-Friday with 2 nights babysitting. Actually daily hours to be discussed however the earliest start time is 730am latest finish time 7pm. We are looking for a candidate who is flexible with their schedule as Nanna from Manchester will come down a few nights a month to visit and will want to look after the girls. We would make arrangements in advanced for swapping days off, holiday time and/or extra babysitting. This could work out where you have a 4 day weekend one weekend and possibly work a Saturday or babysit another. There will be light travel with the family discussed and arranged in advance. Being flexible to work some weekends as either overtime or swapped days is required.
Duties include:

Provide safe, loving, stimulating and nurturing environment for the children.
Overall childcare- dressing and teaching them to dress themselves, promoting good hygiene and grooming including bathing, brushing hair and teeth, toilet training and nappies. Caring for sick children when applicable.
Preparing meals and feeding the girls. The girls have a varied diet which includes the handling of meat.
Daily Pre-school drop-off/pick-ups (3.5 year old), attending appointments, taking the girls to classes including ballet, swimming, gymnastics, dance etc. Finding engaging activities both indoors and outdoors including events, stay and plays, etc.
Taking initiative in organising play dates, reading stories, creating fun and educational games and activities to stimulate their development. TV time is not forbidden but is limited to a few hours a week.

General household duties: keeping the common areas tidy through participating as an active member of the household, helping out with general household errands and admin and keeping your room and bathroom clean. We have a weekly housekeeper for the heavier cleaning  General household duties for the girls: Keeping the girls room tidy, common spaces tidy of Toys, organising and recycling their Toys and clothes, kids laundry and food preparation.
Qualifications:

Demonstrable experience caring for children, specifically toddlers.
Character traits such as patience, reliability, trustworthy, and multitasking are essential.
Physically able to lift, carry and hold the children.
A self-starter, engaged, creative person who thoroughly enjoys spending time with kids.
A good command of the English language a must, Spanish speaking is a bonus.
CPR Training and First aid
Training in early childhood development is preferred.
DBS Check
Non Smoker
Ability to work in the UK and travel outside the UK.
Manual Driving license a bonus but not required.

Salary dependent upon experience
