About us
We have a 4 months old little boy who is an extremely easy going baby. He is a great Sleeper and enjoys his long day naps too.
We both run our own businesses and sometimes need to work long hours, however at this stage, since baby is quite small, one parent will be working from home at all times.
We are looking forward to having help with the new baby and around the house so we can re-establish some healthy routines in our lives such as exercising, eating well and planning weekend activities as a family. We also really like to travel and there will be opportunities for you to join us should you wish to come along.
Our home
We live in a lovely quiet street in Earlsfield with easy access to Northcote Road, nearby parks and Southside shopping centre. Wimbledon and Clapham Junction are also only one one stop on the train - these are busy London areas with lots of shops and plenty to do. The trains run every 3 - 5 minutes to Central London.
Our house has a garden and we have a large downstairs social area open plan, together with 4 bedrooms.
We can offer a lovely living environment, the nanny will have the top floor of the house almost to herself (unless we have guests), with its own TV, WIFI, private bathroom, and some kitchen amenities.
About the job
We are looking for a self reliant nanny who is a positive optimistic character, very kind and loves learning about developmental stages and applying to baby (THIS IS KEY!). Babies require love and care in order to nurture their emotional needs so we are not looking for someone who is interested to spend all their time on the phone or watching TV when with the baby.
Your priority, alongside me, is to ensure our baby is happy, healthy, engaged and taken care of.
Since our little one is still very small, there is no need to prepare meals for him as he is breastfed, however to help me stay as healthy as possible to produce the best breast milk, we would like some help in preparing breakfast and sometimes a little helping hand with dinner.  With time baby will starting weaning and help will be needed preparing portions for him in advance to keep in the freezer.
We have a cleaner for 3 hours once a week but you will be expected to be diligent with keeping the house clean and tidy throughout the week, helping with all washing/ironing, washing and sterilizing bottles and parts which I use to express breast milk.
Your main responsibilities include:

Helping parents maintain the baby’s daily routine (feeding, keeping nap times and bed time routine, soothing and calming when baby is fussy, changing diapers, preparing bottles, helping giving baths)
Organising fun and stimulating activities for the baby in the house (singing, reading) and outside the house (meeting children the same age as him at all the music/playgroups all within the local area). Ideally at least one outing a day.
Preparing healthy easy breakfasts for the family.
Ensuring that the house is tidy

Working hours
We would need to sit down together and work this out as these are likely to be very flexible since we will be working from home quite a bit.
Weekends would be free apart from on specific request in exchange for other time off.
2 Evenings babysitting a week - one during the week and one at weekend although this is very flexible.
The ideal candidate will have

CRB checked or if not, happy to be checked.
OFSTED Registered but not necessary for the right candidate.
Previous experience with babies
Up to date first aid or happy to attend one if we book for you.
Legally permitted to work in the UK
Non-smoker
At least two references
Available as soon as possible
