Hi, we are looking for a full-time live-in nanny/housekeeper to work with us from October. We have 2 children, a son (4 years ) and daughter (7 years ).
Ideally we would like someone who is energetic and engaging to do school drop-offs and pick-ups from school, take them to after school activities, do homework and music practice, feed supper, and do bath/bed time. We are looking for someone who loves children and is happy to organise play dates and have the children’s friends over at our house, someone who is creative and love the outdoors. Above all, someone who is positive and transmits this attitude to the children. We would also like someone who is flexible and adaptable.
The hours would be 6:45am to 7pm Monday to Friday, with one babysitting night a week which we can agree beforehand. Both children go to school full-time so. During term-time, you would be with the children from 6:45am to 8:45am and then from 3:15pm to 7pm. During the school hours we would like you to organise and run the house (inclusive of but not exhaustive), make the beds, load and unload the dishwasher, wash and iron the clothes, grocery shopping and have the dinner prepared for the kids and the family before school pick up, maintain a clean and organised household. Duties also include getting school gear/ sports and ballet kit ready, and snacks and water bottles packed. The children are at school 6 hours a day so someone who is organised would have plenty of time during the day to rest and also pursue leisure activities. However, we would expect to you to be available on demand to pick children up if they are sick at school, and do the full hours during school holidays.
Driver’s license is essential.
We would provide a double bedroom with TV and Wi-Fi, separate sole-use bathroom and the meals consumed in the house. This would be a full-time contract with 4 week paid holidays, which we would ask to coincide with our holidays for a minimum of half the allowance.
We are also looking for someone with previous nanny experience and fluent in English. Spanish would be a plus but not essential.
