The Family
An English couple with 2 boys ages 5 and
8. Last summer, Mum was paralysed from waist down. She is now wheelchair bound and is seeking assistant to carry out the boy’s routine and assist her with swimming and attending medical appointments. During term time, there is time off in the day. Dad works full-time. Mum has some family help too. The aim is for mum to focus on her health with hope she will make a good recovery. Loving and kind family who need loving support.
Location – Family home – Offered accommodation.
The family live in a spacious home situated in Stanmore – on the Jubilee line with 10 minutes’ walk to the tube station and 20 minutes commute to Central London. They offer a large bedroom with TV, Wi-fi and fitted wardrobes. They would like the person to be part of the family and very welcome to use other rooms in the home. Meals included.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist mum in carrying out the daily routine for the boys: getting them up, dressed, breakfast, school runs via car, prepare meals, light housekeeping to keep the house tidy and organised (a cleaner is hired), and nursery duties – domestic duties for the children. The mum Swims on Tuesdays and would need the Mothers Help to accompany her and once a week for Physio. During school holidays, organise social dates and days out – indoor activities. Mum would like to do homework duties.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
·         1-Year minimum working with families in the UK with some Live-in experience.
·         A genuine interest to work with young children and enjoys their company.
·         Establish loving and trusting relationships with the boys and place boundaries.
·         Establish a professional and friendly relationship with the parents and be supportive.
·         Good communication skills.
·         A firm but fair approach with the ability to placer boundaries in a loving manner.
·         Promote good manners, social skills and independence.
·         Create fun, loving and safe and organised environments.
·         Provide healthy meals.
·         Fluent English
·         Experienced and confident driver. (family car – VW people carrier with auto drive)
Working days/hours: Monday to Friday with time off in the day. This is a give and take relationship and requires flexibility.
Salary: £250 net per week with payroll.  Holiday entitlement and pension contribution.
Start date: as soon as possible
