What we provide:

Good family with pleasant working environment - our current housekeeper is leaving to get married after 3.5 years with us
Further detail:
This job is working for a friendly professional family who live in a home overlooking Clapham Common. Clapham South underground and Clapham Junction Station are within an easy journey from the house.
The parents both work during the day and they have two boys, 9 and 12 years old, who go to school full time and also have their own after school carer.
We are looking for an experienced housekeeper to help run our home. You would need to keep the house clean and well presented and be able to do a 'deep clean' when needed, change the bed and household linen, do laundry and ironing, answer the door or telephone calls, do some household shopping and errands and just generally make sure that the household runs smoothly. You will also be cooking a family style evening meal each evening for the children and the parents if they are home.
The role also involves walking the dog, a medium sized Spaniel, two times per day, occasional childcare (though primary is through after school helper), and 2-3 nights per week being in the house after the children have gone to bed but before the parents get home.
Most Fridays at midday you will drive the family car 1.5 hours to the family's second home, where you will stay overnight and return to London by train on the Saturday around noon. The family will of course pay for your train ticket and your accommodation in London is available 7 days per week.
It is essential that you have worked as a housekeeper and have good references. You will need to speak good English and be able to organise your own day and work without supervision.
This is a live in role working Monday to Saturday midday. Your accommodation is in a separate floor at the top of the house - and you have your own bedsitting room with ensuite bathroom (sorry no partners, children or pets).
Competitive salary depending on experience.
