Role: Housekeeper
Location: Chelsea, SW3
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 gross per annum.
Start Date: as soon as possible
We are seeking a professional Housekeeper to join a small team of staff, within a private residence in Chelsea on a Live-in basis, working Monday – Friday.
The Housekeeper will be expected to work 8 hours per day Monday – Friday, either 9am – 5pm or 8am – 4pm. On occasion you will be requested to work weekends with two full days off given during the week. You will be working for one female Principal, there are no pets or children within the household.
There is currently one Housekeeper and a full time Cook employed, someone who can cook in case of an emergency and happy to cover the cook’s day off is advantageous. You will be responsible for working alongside the other household staff to ensure that the property runs smoothly on a day to day basis, and the interiors are maintained to the highest levels of cleanliness.
You will be discreet, hardworking and efficient, with an unparalleled attention to detail, you will be fluent in English, be flexible and methodical and an excellent team player. Previous experience working within a private residence is essential.
You must have previous experience working within a formal private residence.

The duties for the role will include;

Maintaining the household interiors to the highest level of cleanliness.
Keeping all public and private areas of the household immaculately clean.
Managing the laundry and ironing of the Principal.
Knowledge of handling luxury clothing
Packing and unpacking
Maintaining and organization wardrobes
Polishing silverware and antiques
Running errands
Assisting kitchen staff when necessary
Table service: trained in laying a table as well as serving at a table.
Grocery shopping
Ensuring household items and products remain stocked.
Preparing tea trays
Serving tea and coffee
Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner

To be considered for this role you must;

Have 4 + years’ previous experience working within a private household.
Be eligible to work in the UK
Have excellent contactable references
Possess (or be willing to get) an up to date DBS check.

Be fluent in English Language
