A live in Housekeeper/Cook is wanted by a family in London. In the family are parents and children aged 8 and 10 years old. The children have a nanny but you are to be ‘child friendly’ and help out on occasion. The family have had their current housekeeper for several years’ and they are now looking for another experienced live in Housekeeper/Cook to join them long term again.
They family live in a large townhouse which is five story’s high, you must housekeeper that is used to working in a similar sized home. You will be responsible for all housekeeping of the home, family laundry, and family meals. The meals are an important part of your position as the family are looking for someone that enjoys cooking healthy meals. You should be able to cook to a good standard, follow recipes and also be inventive being able to come up with new healthy ideas that will interest the children. You will cook for the children every day and the parents will eat at home about three times per week.
There is an after school nanny that does school pick up, oversees homework and generally supervises into the early evening. You will on occasion be asked to help the nanny if she is busy with one or two of the children so flexibility is essential.
As the live in Housekeeper/Cook you will be needed to work Monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm. You may be asked to work the occasional Saturday morning (paid extra) if you are free and the family have a particularly busy morning.
There is also a new addition to the family and that is a (small) puppy! The puppy will on occasion need to be walked and fed by the Housekeeper/Cook.
Accommodation is separate within the family home with room with bathroom and cooking facilities.
