We are looking for a live in housekeeper and vegetarian cook for a fixed term contract of 10 weeks over the summer in Provence in the South of France (mid June to end of August 2021). The house is in a remote area and therefore an ability to drive would be a distinct advantage.
The successful candidate must have significant experience of cleaning and vegetarian cooking and be used to working in houses where there are no other members of staff and to a very high standard.
The successful candidate must be non-smoker, speak a good level of English and have previous residential housekeeping and vegetarian/vegan cooking experience. Must have excellent organisational skills, be honest and reliable with flexible attitude, and have good attention to detail.
The successful candidate must have exceptional references from 2 recent employers.
The successful candidate will be required to work 6 days a week and duties include top to bottom cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, tidying, cooking lunch and dinner every day and also providing companionship for an elderly lady as and when. Breakfast will also be required if there are guests staying at the house.
The split between cooking and cleaning is approximately 2/3, 1/3.
Vegetarian food and board will be provided, £250 per week and return flights to London.
