We are looking for a loving, honest and reliable LIVE-IN nanny / au pair / house-keeper to help look after our 6 year old daughter and keep our apartment clean and tidy. Long term commitment (minimum 12 months).
Ideally starting as soon as possible.
Our daughter is six years old. She goes to school full time (school hours are 8:30am until 3:50pm) so there is lots of time during the day to get the house-work done (cleaning, laundry/washing, ironing) and cooking.
Mum and Dad both work full time. Dad travels most weeks. English / Greek speaking family.
The job is from Monday to Friday: 7am until 7pm (you are clearly not working all these hours because the little one is at school for a large part of the day), and Saturday’s from 8am until 2pm.
Main duties:
Getting our daughter ready for school from 7am (supervising breakfast and getting her dressed)
School run – leave home at 7:55am (the bus is just outside our apartment or the tube station is a 5 min walk from our home. Bus ride is 15 Mins max).
Housework: this you will do while our daughter is at school - laundry, ironing, keeping our 3 bedroom apartment very clean, tidy and organised.
School pick up is at 3.50pm
Cooking main family evening meal (following recipes if needed)
Supervising homework (so you need to speak English well)
Taking daughter to activities such as swimming lessons.
Playdates / outings/ activities when off school, cooking, arts and crafts, trips to the park.
Bathtime takes place at 6pm and getting ready for bed.
Babysit a maximum of two nights a week although in reality it is more like once every two weeks.
Four weeks paid holiday a year (to be taken when we take ours.)
We have no pets. We are non-smokers.
You will have your own bedroom with en-suite bathroom, access to WiFI.
experience managing children. We are particularly looking for someone who is organized and resourceful and can help the family home run smoothly. Someone who enjoys cooking is desirable.
We are lucky to live very close to central London and we are moments away from Regents Park. We are well situated for tube (St Johns Wood) and there are many useful bus routes.
Our housekeeper/nanny of just over 5 years unfortunately had to head back home to look after her father.
We look forward to hearing from you!
EU passport and references required.
