We are a warm, creative family in nice home seeking experienced, full-time live-in housekeeper and nanny to start as soon as possible. We are two working professionals with a 3 and a half year-old boy. He is well-behaved and attends nursery from 9:30am to 4:30 pm, 5 days a week during term time.
The job will be a live in with their own bedroom and private bathroom provided, with microwave and fridge, situated on another floor from where the main house is.
The role will often involve travelling with the family to a large country in England home where there is a self contained aptartment, Formentera in Spain and also to the West Indies.
Candidate must hold a valid UK driving licence. Being a confident Swimmer is also essential to the role.
A typical working day would be 8/9 hrs from 7am until 8pm with a break during the day, and babysitting 2/3 times a week including a Friday or Saturday.
Days off work to be agreed. 2 weekends off per month, alternating with 2 days off in the week.
Essential responsibilities and skills:
While the child is at nursery, you will be expected to attend to all aspects of cleaning, laundry, ironing and running errands. Also some shopping and cooking mostly for our child.
Attention to detail and pride in your cleaning is important to this role.
Nanny duties including cooking healthy meals, shopping, bath time, bedtime, taking the child to the park, play dates, playgroup etc. Individual must be mature, honest, organised and reliable with reasonable English (spoken and written). Must be energetic, kind and fun; enjoy an active lifestyle (good Swimmer is a must). Must show initiative, but be happy to follow routine/detailed instructions.
You must have at least 3 years of real nanny experience, excellent references, speak good English, be 100% reliable, trustworthy and punctual.
You must have the legal right to work in the U.K. Non-smokers preferred. We often travel, so it would be preferable to have someone who would be able to travel with us.
