Live in Housekeeper (main job) and Childcare for 8 year and 2 year old girls needed in Belsize Park (NW3) - £350-400/week.
Summary
We are looking for a live-in housekeeper/child-carer for 5 days a week and 2 evenings and the occasional Saturday morning.
We want someone who wants to be part of our family and is looking for a stable long term relationship with us.
Our current amazing nanny Elizabeth is leaving us after 4 years to return home due to the birth of her first child and we have also just moved to a bigger house, so we are looking to change our arrangements and instead have both a housekeeper and a separate childminder, as we now have lots of space and want full support for our children and our house. This advert is for the housekeeper.
About Us
We are both 39 (husband in IT, wife in advertising) and work 5 days a week. We travel every month or so for a week at a time but always separately, so the children always have 1 parent around. We are involved parents.
We have 2 girls; an 8 year old and a 2 year old. Our eldest was born 3 months premature and as such has slight development delay. She goes to a mainstream school in Camden Town and has a 121 teaching assistant in the classroom to help her. We have arranged for her previous teaching assistant from class to pick her up every day after school and work with her on her homework. The teaching assistant will work full-time in the school holidays with both girls to look after them and take them out.
What we require
On the childcare front you can see we already have extra help, so what we need is specifically need help with dropping off our eldest at school (2 Stops on the tube - 20 minute journey door-to-door) and youngest at nursery (5 minute walk), preparing the children’s food, picking the girls up from nursery and school and doing bath-time in the evening. We would also like you to keep an eye on the girls for 2 nights a week so we can go on a ‘date’!
For housekeeping, we would like the house to be kept clean and organised and clothes laundered and ironed. We have our weekly food shop delivered, so you will receive this, unpack it and tell us what we are missing. Of course also tell us what you need each time.
Financial details
£350-400/Week
20 Days holiday a year (We are happy to co-ordinate holidays with you as much as we can so the dates work for everyone involved.)
Your own en-suite (shower only) room with a small private patio and separate entrance (you can of course use main entrance if you prefer).
We can arrange a TV in your room is you wish and there is of course WiFi throughout the house.
The perfect person
We will treat whoever is right like family and we would like you to see us and our children in the same way and also want to be with us for a long time. Stability is very important to our family. Your good nature will also come with an organised manner that will help run our house smoothly and cleanly. We do not mind what type of food you are good at cooking but we would like the girls to have healthy meals.
