We are looking for a pleasant, motivated and responsible female to help out with the household and child care. We have two lovely girls aged 5 and.
7. Greek speaking applicants are preferred but this is not an absolute requirement for the position.
To start mid January 2022, initially for 6 months, but we could extend if things work out well.
What we ask of you
Monday and Tuesday: general tidying for 30-45 min in the morning.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: full time work (7.30 am – 7 pm) that house cleaning and childcare. Please below for details of the work.
One babysitting per week: 3-4 hours. This could be week nights or weekends.

What we offer:
Accommodation in a brand new modern and unique house with own bathroom (only shared with guests when around). You will have your own studio room with a small but fully functioning kitchen and own entrance in a slightly separate part of the house offering you significant privacy after your working hours.
2 Fairly free week days per week (Monday and Tuesday) to pursue other activities and free weekends (apart from babysitting).
Access to the household facilities for laundry. Access to the household wifi. Own TV.
£700 Per month and we will be paying your NI contributions extra.
Most of all, a lovely family, two very nice little girls and a very pleasant environment to work and live.
Details of the work
Childcare needs:
1. 7.45 – 9 Am Help to get the children ready for school in the morning, give them breakfast and drop them off to school.
2. 3.30Pm-7pm: collect the children from school, take them to activities, host playdates, give them dinner and tidy up afterwards, and get them ready for bed. School and activities all within walking distance.
3. 1 Session of babysitting per week, 2-4 hours, alternating between weeknights and a weekend (daytime or evening).
Housekeeping activities:
House cleaning: we have a 4 bedroom house with 3 bathrooms and 1 WC, kitchen/living room and second sitting room. We expect our housekeeper to maintain the house clean and tidy to a high standard. This includes standard weekly cleaning, daily tidying up and additional cleaning/tidying e.g. Doors, windows, appliances, changing bedlinen as needed.
Washing and ironing for the family. We anticipate 2 hours of ironing per week.
Running small errands: pick up parcels, dry cleaning and other occasional shopping.
Cooking easy meals for the children only.
Half term and holiday periods
During half term if full child care is needed the housekeeping activities will be adjusted. There will be opportunity for extra income at these times.
3-4 Weeks per year, mostly around Christmas and Easter time, when the family is away and child care not needed salary will be adjusted. You are entitled to 3 days paid annual leave.
What we expect:
Adequate knowledge of English language. CRB check. Non-smoker. References.
The childcare hours are non-negotiable.
The housekeeping timetable can be negotiated if the applicant wants to as long as the amount of working hours is the same and the work is done at the a high standard.
No male visitors are allowed at any time.
Other visitors/family will be discussed with the family and decision will be made but these should be kept to a minimum.
Most of all, we are looking for somebody who will take on the role with enthusiasm to look after our children and our new lovely home, show responsibility and perform the duties as expected and respect the privacy of the family after working hours.
