We are looking for an experienced and flexible Housekeeper/ Cook to look after a small single parent family, in their beautiful Notting Hill home. #
You would be working in a household with a House Manager, with responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
Keeping the house looking immaculate and well presented at all times
Cleaning to a high standard
A good knowledge of caring for antiques, works of art, and delicate surfaces
Doing the laundry and ironing
Wardrobe management
Knowledge of fine fabrics including cashmere and silk
Food preparation and cooking to a confident standard, with fresh and natural ingredients. Must be able to follow a recipe book, as Mum likes to entertain once or twice a week with friends
Setting the table for meals and serving at table
Ordering of household goods, the weekly shop, letting tradespersons into the house and anything that ensures the smooth running of the household
When the Principals are away travelling, the organising of wardrobes, deep cleaning and general maintenance of the property is expected
There is also a lovely friendly young dog in the house who will need looking after on occasion when the Principals are away
Lovely studio flat offered with bedroom/sitting area, kitchenette and bathroom. Small and compact but very comfortable, with own entrance. Hours 9 to 7 / 8pm with 2 hours off during day for a break, 5 day week with 2 days off, but not necessarily concurrent however a Sunday is one of those days off. Start as soon as possible.
