We are currently seeking a professional, experienced and self-motivated couple to manage the home of a client who is, for the majority of the year, based overseas. Located in central London, and caring for a property that has recently undergone extensive renovation works this is a very unique role for a couple looking for a long term, stable role with very juxtaposing times of being 24/7 when the Principals are in residence, and then having to manage your own workload when they aren’t.
Owing to this, you must be proven self-starters, happy to manage your own responsibilities and set your own targets. This is a rare opportunity to live in a prime part of London, with access to the West End, Regents Park and Theatre Land on the doorstep; to care for a house, and keep it in turn key condition in anticipation of the Principals’ arrival. The outgoing couple were with them for 30 years prior to retirement, so this really could be a job for life.

Salary: Up to £60,000 (+ accommodation)

̈  Being available to the owners at all reasonable times when in residence.

̈  Assisting with the smooth running of the household in all facets.

̈  Maintaining the household to the owners’ satisfaction.

̈  Overseeing the management of outside contractors.

̈  Helping the owners with any other reasonable requests or duties.

̈  Overseeing the general housekeeping, and ensuring the property is keep to a high standard at all times.

̈  Cooking for the family when in residence.

̈  Shopping, running errands and regular stock checks.

̈  Assisting in the planning and running of events.

̈  Laundry and ironing

̈  Maintaining household security (alarms, etc)

̈  Monitor internal and external repairs – liaising with contractors when required.

̈  Overseeing external / internal projects.

Candidates must be / have:

̈  Competent level of cooking

̈  Understand the care of fine art, furniture and antiques.

̈  experience in a similar role and of cleaning large houses is required.

̈  Have proof of right to work in the UK

̈  Up to date Enhanced CRB or be prepared to get one.

̈  A positive 'can-do' attitude and a genuine willingness to work for the family long term.
