Our client is looking for a very capable individual to become the new Housekeeper for their large, newly renovated 6 bedroom house in Jersey. This role is a Live In role and is solely responsible for the Housekeeping of the property including cleaning, laundry, ironing and grocery/essentials shopping for the two Principals. The family have two dogs and a cat.
Role details
Location: Jersey, Channel Islands
Hours: 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday with some flexibility around this when the Principals are away as House/Pet Sitting is required.
Accommodation: Newly renovated self-contained flat with separate entrance. The flat consists of a double bedroom, kitchen, living room and bathroom.
Salary: £400 net per week plus accommodation and use of a car for work related duties. There will be a salary review after an initial probationary period.
Start Date: as soon as possible
Responsibilities:
• Full cleaning of this newly renovated home to a consistently extremely high standard including dusting, vacuuming, polishing and mopping floors, ensuring the house is always in perfect condition.
• All laundry including bedding changes.
• Ironing of clothes and other items as required.
• General tidying including loading and unloading dishwasher, clearing glasses, washing up, hanging clothes and Towels.
• Cleaning silverware.
• Regular clearing out of fridge and kitchen cupboards with guidance from the Principals.
• Regular care of the household pets including specialist feeding care for one of the dogs and grooming of the cat.
• Greeting guests to the property.
• Ensuring that guest’s rooms are made up and ready for visitors and family members.
• Looking after the property and the family pets when the Principals are away.
• Wardrobe management for the Principals ensuring everything is kept well organised and tidy.
• Cleaning internal windows
• Running various household and local errands as necessary.
Candidate Requirements
• We are looking for a bright and positive individual who is pro-active, trustworthy, discreet and possesses good attention to detail.
• experience working in similar roles with a stable CV. The family are looking for someone to join them on a long-term basis.
• Ability to plan your hours in the house and prioritise tasks appropriately.
• Proven Housekeeping skills with the ability and dedication to have the house always looking in immaculate condition.
• You will be a self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised and without disturbing family life.
• Excellent standard of spoken and written English. You must be able to communicate efficiently and effectively via phone and text.
• Driving License and own car is essential.
• Ability to be loyal, discrete and totally dependable.
• Excellent, verifiable references.
• Legally able to work in Jersey.
