Role: Live-In Nanny

A young family require a French speaking Nanny to care for their two children on a Live-In basis in Chelsea.
You will be responsible for ensuring the happiness/wellbeing of Gnewborn and B2 at all times and will work in partnership with the mother to create a safe, loving environment.
The family require a candidate with a positive, upbeat approach, able to instill confidence but at the same time set boundaries when required. You must be highly organised and front footed in order to be able to keep up in this busy home.
A large part of the role requires a candidate who is able to speak French to the children so that they can be bilingual. A candidate with early years teaching qualifications would therefore be highly advantageous to this client.
Whilst this is very much a childcare focused role a Nanny who is happy to keep things tidy and perform full nursery duties is essential.
The family employ a full-time housekeeper so you must be happy to work in a team environment.
You will ordinarily be required to work 7am-7pm Monday – Friday however the family would like a candidate who is able to cover two weekends per month, with two additional days off during the week.
The family travel during the holiday season so you must be travel friendly and happy to accompany them for up to two weeks at a time.
The accommodation provided is a private double bedroom and bathroom on a separate floor in the residence.

Duties;
·      Ensuring the wellbeing and safety of the two children at all times.
·      Nursery pick ups and drop offs
·      Organising playdates
·      Encouraging and supervising stimulating activities.
·      Encouraging excellent manners and behaviour.
·      Acting as a positive role model to the children.
·      Teaching the French to both children and assist with language development.
·      Bath and bed routine
·      Laundry duty for the children
·      Preparing healthy meals and snacks on occasion.
·      Organising and accompanying the children to activities, play dates and extra-curricular activities.
·      Keeping things tidy as you go about the day.
·      Running errands for the children
·      Sterilizing bottles
·      Weaning the youngest child eventually.

To be considered for this role you must;

·      Be French speaking
·      Be eligible to work within the UK
·      Have a minimum of 5 + years’ experience working within a Private household as a Nanny.
·      Have a minimum of 5 + years’ experience as a Nanny caring for similar aged children.
·      Have excellent contactable references.
·      Possess (or be willing to get) an up to date DBS check.
