Live in Domestic Couple North London

Posted: 26-03-2024
Place: Totteridge, Greater London

Live - In Domestic Couple North London
This is a role which is very varied, and requires a lot of flexibility day to day.
The main responsibilities will be based in a large property in North London, although overnight babysitting at the other property in Hampstead may be required (The family have 4 children ranging from 7 – 16) along with running errands between the properties.
The family usually spend Mon – Fri in Hampstead, and the weekends in Totteridge, so the working week is spent “resetting” the house, looking after the animals and running various errands for the family if needed. The end of the week is spent getting the house ready for the family’s arrival on a Friday after school/work.
There is a full time chef employed, so minimal cooking will be required, however the candidates must be happy and able to prepare simple meals if required, mainly for the children.
Full time gardeners are also employed to manage the grounds, though there will be some overlap with duties.
There is also a part time cleaner employed 3 days a week to assist with the upkeep of the house.
Full training will be given, and candidates will be assisted by the Estate Manager who is usually based at the property Mon – Fri.
Flexibility and discretion are absolutely key, visibility is kept to a minimum if possible, and candidates must have a strong “can do” attitude, willing to help in anything that comes up and work as a team.
It is essential that at least one candidate can drive, preferably both.
Technological knowledge/understanding is helpful, with candidates being able to understand the workings of the property/Audio-visual systems/intercoms etc when shown them.
Candidates will also be required to liaise with contractors in the Estate Manager’s absence.
