We are looking for a local experienced female live-in carer to share the role of looking after my 85 year old father who has moderate stage Alzheimer’s. We imagine a setup of 1 week off/1 week on but this is negotiable. Dementia care experience preferred but not essential. The main duties would be to prepare food, clean, give medication, help with personal care and offer companionship. Occasional visits to General Practitioner and other local services in wheelchair by foot or short bus ride. Breaks are provided each day either by the second carer or by family members. My father attends a day centre twice a week. He lives in a quiet suburb of London with good transport links to Waterloo. There are 2 bedrooms for carers to use. Family live locally.
