Ad for live in carer/PA
We are looking for a Carer/PA to LIVE IN our home to help care for our son who is a young adult with disabilities. He is friendly, loving, gentle, cooperative and happy and does not have challenging behaviour.
(Please note that this position is ONLY LIVE-IN). The position is available immediately.
We are looking for someone with experience working with and looking after people with disabilities, children, or with the elderly, as our son’s care needs are similar. experience with special needs would be a big bonus but is not essential. Full training would be provided on every aspect of our son’s needs.
You must be intelligent, responsible, reliable, sociable, trustworthy, flexible, efficient, energetic and above all to be caring and loving. You must be a non-smoker and be in good health.
Our son is musical and is a Drummer, so being musical would be a plus though not essential.
We need help with our son with all aspects of his personal care, being a general support and a companion. People develop a sense of caring for our son, as he is very loving and caring. Some light household tasks will also be needed, mainly in the kitchen.
Your help will be needed during the week on Saturday mornings.
You would have some free time on weekdays and on Sundays and much of Saturday too. We will also need some occasional evening care if we go out either during the week or on Saturday evenings.
Our family consists of three adult daughters who have left home. Our son is our youngest child. We are a close family so we try to see each other as often as possible.
We live in a large flat with a large garden, in a desirable, safe neighbourhood in North West London. You would have your own nice, well-sized bedroom. Our home is close to central London. There are excellent transport links close by.
Pay is competitive and holiday time would be paid. Salary is offered is on a gross basis. We would prefer someone working on a self-employed basis ideally, but are willing to hire someone on an employed basis.
