Kind, experienced, well-organised, well-educated, mature, female live-in carer/companion wanted for pleasantly confused elderly lady in leafy Richmond/Twickenham area of South London. Non-smoker. Generous pay, working with friendly family. No pets. Own room in comfortable house. Alternating two-week shifts preferred; other live in care options available, including occasional relief work.
For this live in position, we offer starting pay of approximately. £1600 for each two week shift, rising to £1700-£1800 per two-week shift following satisfactory completion of a probation period. You must be eligible to work in the UK, and have a valid National Insurance Number. You may choose to work as a salaried employee, or on a self-employed freelance basis. If you choose to work freelance, then you must hold Carer's insurance, and you must have verified self-employed status with HMRC.
Because this position requires maturity and experience, only applicants over the age of 45 will be considered. Recent CRB/DBS check desirable. Applicants must have verified experience of moving/handling, and dealing with pleasant confusion/dementia as a live-in carer. Fluent English Essential. Nursing experience is advantageous but not essential. Preference will be given to applicants who live reasonably local to the Richmond/Twickenham area, but we are also happy to accept UK applications from outside of this area.
