Fun, energetic, creative, loving, nurturing, organised and responsible junior nanny/ au pair required for sole charge of twins one boy and one girl born August 2014 (attending nursery). The twins are healthy happy children with sunny temperaments. The boy is energetic, and very playful. The girl loves music, drawing and books. Cooking healthy meals from scratch is a priority for the family. Parents are British and Italian.
There are plenty of activities within walking distance from the family home in London. The family also spend time in Oxfordshire in a country village near Chipping Norton with great train connections to London. The twins are just starting nursery and will increase hours up to 30 per week. The junior nanny/ au pair would be expected to care for the twins, manage their social and development schedule by continuing the appropriate classes and develop them through creative and imaginative play whilst nurturing them socially, physically and educationally. The parents wish for both children to be polite and well mannered.
The junior nanny/ au pair would have 2 full days off per week. The accommodation comprises of own bedroom and shared bathroom with the twins. The family home is situated in Primrose Hill close to all local amenities, good public transports links the closest tube being Chalk Farm and Primrose Hill, and Regents Park just a moments away. A car driver is not essential, but a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Look after Beatrix and Raphael, aged 3, never leave them alone
- Take Beatrix and Raphael to nursery - they are building up to 30 hours/week
- Care for them look after their health and happiness
- Play with them at home, take them for walks, to the park, to play dates and to music and swim classes etc
- Take they to the doctor/dentist/hairdresser etc as required
- prepare Thier food (healthy and fresh) and help them to eat
- Tidy up after them and do all of their washing etc
- Teach them manners and discipline them as discussed (never physically and never scare him)
- Ensure everything is put away at the end of the day and that downstairs is tidy (i.e. Unload the dishwasher, wipe benches if required). Please note we have a cleaner who comes twice a week. She will take care of all proper cleaning and our ironing.
- Clean your own room and do your own laundry etc as required.
- We will sometimes ask you to be home for deliveries or trades people etc
- We will occasionally ask you run errands for us (such as buying food, ordering online food, shopping, dry cleaning and going to the post office).
