We are looking for a live in au pair who can help us with our daughter Emma (20 months old) 2 days a week (Tuesdays and Fridays), plus a few hours during mornings, evenings, and sometimes during the weekend. We estimate work can add up to 30 hours a week, with some weeks up to 35 hours max. Aside from Tuesdays and Fridays, we are somehow flexible regarding days/times so we can try to accommodate to another job, or studding time.
While the priority is to get help looking after our little one, we are looking for someone that can give us a hand in pretty much anything around the house, such as basic cleaning, washing up, organising clothes, changing nappies, doing a little bit of cooking, etc.
We consider ourselves a very easygoing family. Emma is a healthy, happy, and well-behaved baby who has Down Syndrome, so ideally we are looking for someone who is interested in looking after someone with special needs (people who are studding or have graduated as OT, physiotherapist, or STL would be ideal for us, for instance!).
We are looking for someone to start in early June. We’d like to have someone living in as we have a lovely room with an en-suite bathroom and a kitchenette that we believe will provide comfort and privacy to our ideal candidate.
Ideally, we would like this person to be highly energetic, proactive, of positive attitude, and fun-loving.
Requirements:
• Non smoker
• Must be able to produce a DBS check
• First Aid Certified
• Fluency in English or Spanish language
• Drivers’ License (nice to have)
Pay will be in line with the UK government standard regulations for an au pair role.
