We are a friendly family of five living in Tufnell Park N7. We have three children, two girls and a boy, aged 12, 10 and 8 years old, and 2 cats. They are great fun, super sparky and extremely well behaved.
We are looking for an experienced (2 years +) live in au pair to help us for 35 hours a week to replace our current au pair who has been with us for the last year. We would like someone already living and established in London or the South East, with a high level of spoken English. First Aid and CRB an advantage; driving licence not required.
The standard hours are Monday to Friday, 7.30 am - 9.30am, and 3pm to 8pm - a total of 35 hours, plus 2 babysits. We will offer a competitive salary of GBP 150 + / week, depending on experience. The start date is 3 July.
The duties include:
- helping the children with breakfast and getting them ready for school
- keeping the kitchen and children's rooms tidy
- washing the children's clothes
- helping the children with their homework (and ideally, piano practice)
- collecting the children from school and taking them to after school clubs
- preparing the children's supper
- getting the children ready for bed.
We are looking for a level of flexibility and a willingness to help with the smooth running of the household. Extra hours will be needed over the school holidays and when the children are off school.
We can offer a room on a separate floor of a lovely family home with a large garden in Zone.
2. The room is large bright and airy and has its own cooking facilities, sink and fridge. There is an adjacent bathroom shared only with occasional overnight guests.
This is a permanent position for someone willing to stay for at least a year.
