We are a loving family of 3 - mum - Yal (a doctor), dad - Ben (lawyer), and Amelia (5 year old princess). We like to spend lots of time together as a family, especially listening to music and putting on dancing shows. We are an active family, like to do sports and have picnics in nearby Greenwich park. We are currently excited about baby no. 2 arriving in May 2022.
We live in a large house in a beautiful part of London called Greenwich, which is leafy and quiet and yet only 8 minutes by train to London Bridge. Ben commutes into the City every day while Yal works 2 days a week. Amelia goes to school in a lovely little primary school.
We have had 3 previous au pairs including our current superwoman au pair, Lucy, who has been with us now for nearly 3 years. We are looking for someone that wants to become part of our family and be a big sister to little Amelia.
The main responsibilities include getting Amelia ready for school each morning (breakfast and clothes) and then driving her to school. During the day you will have a lot of free time, with responsibility for a few light household chores. Some afternoons you will pick Amelia up and get dinner ready, give Amelia a bath and help her with her homework. Babysitting on saturday mornings for a few hours and the occasional Friday night. Hours per week are 35.
Important considerations for us;
1) Good basic English language - speaking and comprehension.
2) Full drivers licence and experience of driving.
3) Independent young person who can look after themselves and is responsible and takes the initiative.
4) Willingness to be part of a family and cultural exchange.
5) Ability to do basic chores such as cooking.
You will have your own double bedroom with tv with lovely views and a bathroom next door. We pay £120 per week in pocket money and provide free board. We look forward to hearing from you!
