We are a family of 5 looking for a reliable, energetic, patient, mature and kind live- in au-pair ideally from the 20st of August 2022.
We are a multicultural family with 3 boys (10, 6, 3), Mum is from Hungary and work part-time 3 days a week. Dad is from Chad and works full time. The two eldest children go to Greenwich Steiner School and the youngest one will join them in the end of October 2022, after half term. He will stay at home until then and you will be required to work from Wednesday to Friday 8-6.30pm. After the half term you will be required to work 1pm-6.30pm on school days and full days during holidays. In total you will work 16.5 hours/week and 15 hours extra on school holidays or when a child is sick.
We leave in a leafy area of Abbey Wood, Greenwich but we are in the process to move to Eltham.
You will be required to pick up the two youngest from school at 1pm. At the moment it is at the 30/40 min busride away. It will be 20 min once we move to Eltham. You will also prepare their meals and play with them until one of us will get home. Although we have a cleaner, the household role includes maintaining and cleaning the kitchen and living area and occasionally doing family laundry.
You will also babysit once or twice a month.
You will have your own bedroom, shower room, wifi, food, free bus pass for the weekend and £10/month for phone for working 16.5 hours a week. You will receive £8-10/hour for additional hours during school holiday and when you do more hours depending on experience.
Our previous au-pair worked for one of our family friends, so there are other opportunities to boost your income. They have a daughter aged 7 and she is in the same school. They would require someone to work for them on Monday and Tuesday from 15.30 until 18.30 on school days and 8/8.30-18/18.30 during school holidays. They would like you to also do some housework 2-3 hours/week for extra income. Pay is negotiable with them
We have number of au-pairs in the past staying with us 6-18 months and they can provide you with references.
You will need to have:
- experience with this age group (desired but not essential)
- visa to work in the UK
- good command of English or Hungarian
