Firecracker Works are seeking a motivated and hard working Production Assistant to join our team. This is a full time, varied and diverse role in a busy set design and production company based in Wimbledon.
We design, build and install set for corporate and private events at home and abroad.
You will be providing support to Production Managers by sourcing materials, placing and processing orders, scheduling and all other aspects an installation event entails for our mix of private and corporate clients. Your experience and ability to multi task will enable you to cover the following:
• Dealing with all clients’ requests and emails quickly and efficiently.
• Sourcing and purchasing equipment, props, materials etc as required.
• Supporting project managers with quoting/pricing.
• General Admin - Scanning, printing, binding documents, mood boards etc.
• Scheduling and booking of crew, trucks and drivers etc.
• Purchase orders, helping to arrange event install/strike logistics, couriers, deliveries/collections.
• Liaising with sub-contractors
Skills required:
• A team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
• Approachable, flexible, calm under pressure and decisive.
• Excellent verbal and written English
• Able to work on own initiative
• Computer literate, competent with all Microsoft packages, Mac User and Google Apps knowledge helpful. Knowledge of Design packages (CAD etc) helpful but not required.
• Ability to prioritise and adapt to an ever-changing and diverse environment/workload.
• Takes pride in their work with great attention to detail.
• Excellent approach to administration and organisation.
• Logical thinker and a sense of humour is a must!
