The family and primary Carer of an elderly and sweet-natured lady requires the help of a carer with a happy nature, to provide care for our mother, suffering the side effects of a stroke.
A relief carer is required to support the primary carer who is already in position. Time on duty is therefore flexible and can be negotiated, with between 7 to 10 days work per month, on a Rota basis. We are looking for someone who is highly reliable and who will provide 24 hour live in availability when on duty.
Mum enjoys going on outings and goes out to day care centres on 2 days per week and will need accompanying on all mornings or afternoons out.
Mum has communication problems since her recent stroke and needs some assistance with day to day activities. As well as caring the duties also include carrying out housework, cooking and laundry/ironing.
The position is live-in, where you will have your own bedroom with television, unlimited Wi-Fi access, meals and bills included. A car can be provided for the right candidate, to be used specifically for care activities.
Situated in Stanmore in North London - a lovely, leafy area, with easy links to London, Watford and Harrow.
A clean driving license and specific experience is desirable, but a very positive, upbeat personality will make all the difference in selecting the right person for the role, as well as will genuine concern and care.
