Kent based law firm are looking for a Litigation Claims Handler on damage only files resulting from road traffic accidents for their office in Hayes, Bromley. Job description as follows:
Working for a large motor insurer.
A road traffic accident has occurred, the insurers have repaired their policyholders vehicle and the policyholder is stating that they were not at fault for the accident.  The third party/third party insurer has failed to raise payment for the repairs to the policyholders vehicle.
Solicitors are then instructed to issue proceedings against the third party/third party insurer for failure to settle the claim. Duties include.
"    Assessing liability
"    Answering phones
"    Drafting letters
"    Reviewing evidence such as police reports and witness statements.
"    Negotiating liability
"    Negotiating quantum
"    Drafting court documents (applications, reply to defence, statements)
"    Reviewing and assessing Part 20 claims.
"    Liaising with Counsel
"    Briefing Counsel
"    Negotiating costs
"    Complying with a court timetable
Candidate must have experience in dealing with insurance claims. This is a full time, permanent post. Salary £17,000 to £22,000 depending on experience. Apply with CV for vacancy 17882.
