The Inter Continental London O2 is a new luxury hotel in the historic Royal Greenwich located on the vibrant Greenwich Peninsula.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Linen Porter to join the growing team.

The Linen Porter Housekeeping Department is responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of the entire hotel including guest rooms, public areas, Food and Beverage outlets, spa facilities, back of house areas and team member facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Linen Porter
- Ensuring the supply of linen to the hotel is maintained in accordance with set par stocks. Basic duties will include: Counting all clean and dirty linen, reporting any damaged or dirty linen, maintaining a clean and tidy department
- Ensure that set cleaning plan implemented by Linen Supervisor/Facilities Supervisor is followed
- Maintain good communication and working relationships to ensure if best practise
- Ensure that control measures set by HOD are followed at all times
- Follow standards and deliver cleanliness require by company standard
- Implement and action Housekeeping SOP’s and Daily Standards
- Report maintenance queries to Linen Supervisor
- Ensure that request made by Linen Supervisor, HOD, and other Senior Management are carried out in a timely manner
- Complete actions given by Linen Supervisor/HOD
- Ensure that all guest requests are carried out promptly
- Follow H and S systems implemented by HOD
- Ensure that all work regulations such as COSHH, Manual Handling etc are followed
- Ensure safe, effective storage procedures are followed with regards to Housekeeping materials/chemicals etc
Skills and experience required by the Linen Porter
- Previous experience is preferred but not essential
- Ability to take on physically demanding job
- The ability to complete all tasks to a high standard
- High professional appearance
- A positive attitude and good command of the English language due to guest interaction
