LEGAL ADMINISTRATOR/TRAINEE LEGAL ADMINISTRATOR REQUIRED FOR SOUTH-EAST LONDON FIRM
Progressive firm based in South-East London is seeking a Legal Administrator to join its busy practice urgently. This firm has a Legal Aid contract in family law, community care law, crime and prison law, actions against the police and public law. In addition, the firm has a busy practice on a fixed fee basis in immigration law, civil litigation and landlord and tenant.

We require an enthusiastic legal administrator to join our busy practice on work experience initially, with a view to obtaining permanent employment, provided the right candidate has demonstrated sufficient commitment to the job and is able to perform various tasks competently. experience in legal administration is desirable but not essential as in-house training will be provided.

Role
You will be working within a small team and will be expected to carry out various responsibilities, including the following:
 General reception duties;
 Answering calls throughout the day;
 Liaising with Courts, clerks, barristers and clients;
 Managing multiple diaries;
 Legal letter drafting;
 Managing incoming and outgoing posts;
 Photocopying and binding;
 Offering assistance to fee earners and caseworkers as and when required.
Mandatory Requirements
The ideal candidate must have the following:
 Be computer literate: the ideal candidate must have good typing and written skills, experience in using Microsoft word, outlook, excel and Power Point;
 Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
 Have positive and professional attitude to work;
 Be able to establish and maintain good working relationship;
 Have excellent organisational skills and be able to prioritise work;
 Be able to work both as a team and on his/her own initiative;
 Be able to work under pressure;
 Have good telephone manner;
 Be fully committed to the job role;
 Be willing to learn and do work experience initially;
 Be reliable and trustworthy;
 Live locally or within 10 miles from Greenwich.
