About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Elmwood Care Home as the Laundry Team Leader supporting the Supervisor with the smooth running of the laundry department.
Mission Care has 5 Residential homes in South London and the Bromley Borough, the laundry department is based at Elmwood and provides the laundry service to all our homes. You will need to have a full driving license as you will be required to deliver laundry.
Responsibility’s
You will take lead in assisting Laundry staff ensuring service levels are reached to a high standard
Train employees on all laundry procedures
Run shift to ensure timely productivity and quality of service provision.
You will undertake the operation of all laundry machinery to include loading, unloading and correct use of:
• Industrial Washing Machines
• Industrial Tumble Dryers
• Rotary Ironing Press
• Industrial Hand Steam Irons
• Steam Form finisher
You will follow and ensure all staff comply with all health and safety processes, that include:
• Observe infection control policy and procedures
• Observe hygienic working practices and COSHH regulations
• Maintain specified quality standards
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional
Skills required
• Previous experience within a laundry department or dry cleaning environment
• experience with industrial washing machines
• Full Driving license
• Positive “Can do attitude".
• A mature and responsible attitude to work
• Ability to perform tasks of a physical nature including lifting, loading and standing for long periods of time

Elmwood is located in Bickely near Bromley and has over 70 residents. The team at Elmwood provide a high standard of dignified and person-centred care that serves residents’ social, physical and emotional needs.
