The Role
Be fully aware of The Lanesborough Culture, Service experience along with Guests Recognition that The Lanesborough is renowned for. Be able to promote and be confident with all facilities offered in the hotel. This role is responsible for washing, drying and pressing all items processed in the laundry to a high standard. To ensure all soiled items are off loaded from trolleys, recorded in inventory and processed according to the department standards. This role is required to carry out hand finishing, polymarking and specialist dry cleaning finishes. This position will carry out cleaning of the laundry department and report any health and safety hazards to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Skills and Competencies
The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate the following attributes
•Proven track record of previous experience preferably working in a dry cleaning shop or hotel's dry cleaning department with the ability to work both in a team and on own initiative is essential
•The ideal candidate would have worked as a dry cleaning specialist within a luxury standard establishment.
•experience using pressing and dry cleaning machines with a preference for any training certificates/qualifications
•This role will involve manual handling (pushing, pulling, lifting)
•Well groomed appearance and high level of personal hygiene
•Willing to work flexible hours
•Good command of the English language
•COSHH Training preferred but not essential
