Environmental Arts (EA) is based on the island of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos. It provides high quality landscaping services to large resorts and private Villas spread across the Turks and Caicos Islands. We have a large team of gardeners, managed by a small team of dedicated supervisors that maintain these properties after installation.
Job role
Landscaping installation Supervisor
Day to day: Ensuring teams of gardeners are prepared and organised, visiting properties to discuss landscaping requirements with clients, scheduling gardeners on projects and recording actual time worked to ensure appropriate payment, co-ordinating ordering of materials, maintaining relationships with clients and ensuring follow up on any requests or estimates, ensuring nursery and equipment is maintained.
Staff in this grade provide day to day direction of staff. They have a responsibility for managing / developing people and should be strong leaders. They should be proficient in undertaking necessary administrative duties in terms of planning and reporting time and materials information.
Skills needed
Applicants must be proficient in the use of heavy machinery (backhoe, bobcat, skytrack, crane). Applicants must have an outstanding level of horticultural knowledge, especially in a tropical region (zone 10). Applicants must be proficient with a computer, including all google apps. Applicants must have a valid driver's license. The role requires an organised and professional supervisor who is able to plan and manage both their time and their team’s time effectively. Effective communication both internally and externally is expected. A basic ability to report on issues and carry out basic invoicing duties is also necessary.
Essential experience
Minimum 2 years gardening experience on large landscape installations
Minimum 2 years experience managing/co-ordinating teams
Minimum 1 years administration experience
