La Barrique is a restaurant and bar specialising in pizza, pasta, salads and sharing boards with a diverse selection of wines and Beers to match from wine regions from around the world.

Our location at ExCel means we look after a diverse clientele attending events at the Exhibition and Event centre as well as our locals from around the Royal Docks. We combine elegant design with great tasting food and exciting wines and Beers. Our kitchen team operate in full view of our guests and interact with them also. As such we are looking for experienced presentable chefs who have experience operating in plain sight.

We are looking for a chef with pizza experience to come and work alongside our hardworking Lead Chef Dan and can also help in the preparation of our classic dishes including Lasagna, Tiramisu and Chocolate Mousse.

The Role

Our Pizza Chefs can produce all items in the kitchen and share in the management duties of the kitchen as well as ordering and creation of new dishes for the menu which we supplement with specials in line with season.

Some of the duties are are as follows:

Preparation of Dough, making of pizza and other dishes on our menu.
Ensure we operate a safe and spotlessly clean kitchen.
Stock checking, control and ordering.
Accepting deliveries of products and consumables.
Work with FOH team and management to deliver excellent guest experiences.
Maintain a safe kitchen environment.
Participate in training sessions.
Record keeping and due diligence.

experience

Please only apply if you have significant experience working in a UK chain or independent restaurant and speak excellent English. This role would suit an existing pizza chef looking for a new challenge in a smaller company where you can truly make a difference.

Pay Rates

The role pays £9.00 - £10.00 per hour at starting and also earns gratuities.
