Are you passionate about cake? Do you have what it takes to be our newest Bakerator? We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled individual to assist as a Baker and Decorator - or ‘Bakerator’ - in the production of our legendary cakes in one of our on-site kitchens. It is a unique role in our company that is perfect for a multi-skilled individual who has an all round love of creating cake and the talents to match it! You will support both baking and decorating sections in delivering our range of products.
Your Role:
● You will be supporting the baking and decorating sections in producing luxury baked items across our entire range including our famous sponge cakes, such as the Curly Whirly
● Your work ethic should ensure the maintenance of quality and quantity of production in line with company standards
● You will help us create a 21st century family cake business in which we bring joy with love baked into every product
● Full time position
● £8.30 – £9.50/hour dependent on experience

About You:
Essential:
● Kitchen experience: 1 year +
● GCSE’s or equivalent
● You will have experience in the daily running of a kitchen environment including both administrative and practical tasks
● You are creative and motivated, with a passion for cake
● You are a team player who is always looking to learn, develop and improve
● You have a friendly and engaging communication style
● You display flexibility in working style and ability to meet challenging and untimely orders
● You display the highest level of kitchen conduct and cleanliness in keeping with Food Hygiene standards
● You have an understanding of our company values
Desirable:
● Baking/Decorating experience: 1 year preferred
● A broad range of experience with techniques including baking sponges, tarts, brownies and biscuits as well as decorating using marzipan and royal icing
● Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2
● Catering certificate or equivalent
