Do you consider yourself to be a real foodie? Do you love eating food, preparing food and making food look tantalisingly delicious?! If so we may be able to help you fuel your passion! FCB Artisan Espresso Bars at Denmark Hill station is looking for a Kitchen supervisor/ Deli chef.
We are a high-volume, fast paced chain of speciality coffee shops on the railway network in the South East of England. Our Denmark Hill shop has been open for almost 4 years now and has already developed a strong reputation locally and beyond for our exceptional coffee, innovative menus and an amazing rapport with customers.
We are looking for a passionate individual who can prepare copious amounts of gorgeous breakfast and lunch food everyday. You will be in charge of your food prep assistant as well as the production line and the overall operation of a kitchen which is quite small and needs to be highly organised to operate efficiently. You will work with our shop manager in placing orders and ensuring that the food displays in the shop are presented so beautifully that our customers won’t be able to resist the delights we have to offer! Food preparation experience and awareness of hygiene standards are essential.We are open from 6.00am to 8.00pm seven days a week. You need to be an early bird! This position will most likely be predominantly morning shifts however afternoon/evening shifts and weekends may be required. This is a full time position and flexibility is important.
Responsibilities include:
Making hot breakfast items including rolls, toast cups etc.
Sandwich, croissants, bagels, and baguettes filling and wrapping.
Yoghurt and granola pots
Breakfast porridge
Change over from breakfast to lunch menu: soups, stews, tarts and salads.
Keeping track of food stock and placing orders on daily basis.
Management of food prep assistant
Requirements:
experience of food preparation within a fast paced environment is desirable.
Knowledge and genuine interest/passion in all things food IS essential!
Good spoken and written English
Great customer service skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Fully up to date with health and safety legislation.
