HOMEGROWN: Cafe/ juice bar in POP Brixton. We focus on producing health conscious, fresh food and seasonal menus. We are looking for a chef to join our friendly team who will enjoy working in a shipping container!
Position:
Managing kitchen, help maintain high standards and consistency within the kitchen. Reporting to General Manager.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience required in kitchen
• Professional, friendly, and punctual.
• Full time flexible hours are required (able to work days, evenings, weekends).
Skills:
• Efficient communication with front of house
• Skilled in time management
• Able to tolerate pressure and work calmly and efficiently during busy times
• Possess the highest work ethics, personal morals and honesty beyond reproach
• Maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness in the restaurant area
• Line chef experience
Duties:
• Ensure consistent and smooth running of food production
• Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared
• Assist with the preparation of budgets
• Ensure effective stock purchase, its receipt and storage
• Report the need for maintenance to appropriate staff
• Ensure food safety/health and safety standards are maintained at all times.
