VACANCIES FOR KITCHEN STAFF, INSTITUTE OF FLAVOUROLOGY
BACKGROUND:
The newly developed Institute of Flavourology (in collaboration with Gingerline) consists of a group of clandestine dining adventurers. We’ve been creating nights of mystery and delicious dining along the East London Line since August 2010. Starting out as a ‘for the love’ experiment, based out of the kitchen of our founders, we have cartwheeled and cavorted across London, opening the eyes – and minds – of intrepid explorers through our growing collection of immersive dining experiences. Over the past five years, our out-of-this-world - but strictly top secret - experiences, which fuse together art, performance, food, drink and design, have been increasingly described as ‘the hottest tickets in town’. Our desire has always been to create unusual, unpredictable and delicious dining experiences for those who have a taste for the unexpected. We’ve loved every minute and there’s much more to come.
In EARLY JUNE, we’ll embark on a journey to expand our ever-growing business with new experiences, new food and new locations. So it’s time for us to bring aboard a team of new IOF/Gingerliners! We are searching for passionate, enthusiastic, and committed people who have a creative flair, an eye for detail and a taste for something unique and unusual.
If you’re an experienced SOUS CHEF, CHEF DE PARTIE, COMMIS CHEF, or KITCHEN PORTER, we’d love to hear from you! Based in a secret location on the EAST LONDON OVERGROUND LINE , we have several permanent contracts available for full-time kitchen staff. You must be available for TUESDAY-SATURDAY EVENINGS , as well as having the flexibility and desire to work IOF bespoke events.
Starting salary will range from £18K for Kitchen Porter up to £30K for an experienced Sous Chef.
